925 silver pendant with golden parts, hand-chiselled, reproduction of an icon depicting Jesus in the centre, Our Lady of Kazan and Saint Nicholas.

Pendant size including hook: 20X32 mm closed, 35X32 mm open.

In the central part we see the almighty Lord. In this type of iconography Jesus Christ appears before us as the Lord of the earth and the world. The book he holds in his hand is the great book of human destiny and a symbol of the New Testament. The Testament is a covenant between God and humans by which He will judge them on the Day of Judgment. The fundamental law (commandment) of the Testament is the commandment of love: "As I have loved you, so you also love one another".

The Kazan icon of the Mother of God is placed on the right hand of the Lord. The Kazan image is one of the most sacred Russian cult objects. It miraculously appeared in Kazan in 1579. A girl named Matrona found the icon at the site of a fire. Brought to church, the newly appeared icon healed several blind people. This was taken as a sign: the icon will be the illuminator of the Russian land.

To the left of Christ is the icon of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker, the most consecrated Orthodox saint. He is especially loved in Russia where he is considered the main helper in all things and an intercessor in life's evils. Over the years of shepherding, the saint became famous for multiple wonders and acts of mercy that he continues to perform to this day. The saint is revered as a healer, patron of travelers, intercessor of offended, persecuted and people in difficulty. He is asked for help in trade and learning, in resolving conflicts and correcting rulers.

The reverse of the triptych is decorated with the traditional image of Calvary, symbol of the place of the Passions, of the mountain where the human race was atoned for eternal death with the blood of Christ".
