Even though Italy is the homeland of the nativity scene and many Italian producers don’t attend the Frankfurt fair, there we get to meet creators from all over the world, with their unique creativity and often unconventional styles.
This is where we find the design nativity scenes that we love so much, but also discover ethnic Ukrainian craftsmanship that, with its simplicity, captures the true spirit of Christmas — the one we’ve always wanted to share with our customers: joy and wonder in the simplicity of things.
This year, we discovered a new producer from the Black Forest: a workshop specializing in laser-cut wood, mainly focused on designer home decor. Among other pieces, they’ve created some nativity scenes that truly excited us — one of them even won the Form Design Award (an award established by FORM magazine, a true institution in the world of Nordic design).
