We began the celebrations last Wednesday with a visit from our Archbishop, Monsignor Mario Delpini.
It was a very emotional and intimate moment — perhaps all the more heartfelt because of its simplicity.
It was truly special to share the story of our workshop, the passing down from father to son and from one family to another, while showing him the historical documents we carefully preserve: the first document, dated 1888, but above all the two documents concerning the closure of the shop due to the bombings and its subsequent reopening.
May the memory of the courage and faith of those who came before us be an inspiration for the next 130 years!
We would like to share with you the blessing that was bestowed upon our workshop:
O God, Creator and Father,
who entrusted the earth and its fruits
to the hands of man,
so that through work
he might become an instrument of your providence,
bless all those who benefit from this service,
whether as providers or as customers;
grant that they may always uphold justice and charity,
and thus contribute to the good of all,
rejoicing in their work
for the growth of society.
Through Christ our Lord.
R. Amen.
Revive in us, O Father,
through this sign of blessed water,
our commitment to Christ,
the cornerstone who sustains us
and the keystone who unites us in your love.
O God, Father of goodness,
who has made every person
responsible for their neighbor,
so that one may help another,
show your benevolence
to all who work in this place
and to all who enter here.
R. Amen.
And may the blessing of almighty God,
the Father, and the Son ✠ and the Holy Spirit,
descend upon you and remain with you always.
R. Amen.
